My song "Waiting". co-written with Graham Verdon received an Honourable Mention in the 2007 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). Renowned for its prestigious celebrity judges, ISC received over 15,000 songs from amateur and professional songwriters from 100 countries worldwide. Given this, we are proud to have finished as one of only two Canadians in the top 15 of the Country category. Also, thanks to dedicated voting from fans for the People's Voice Award, we placed 14th out of 270 finalists for all categories combined.

I was recently selected to attend the Power SongShop Co-Writing Camp sponsored by the Songwriters Association of Canada. The 2-day workshop led by two talented Canadian songwriters - Stan Meissner and John Capek - offered songwriters from across Canada a great opportunity to experience co-writing and learn more about the art of songwriting.

My song "Waiting", co-written with Graham Verdon, is a Finalist in the 2007 International Songwriting Competition. There were 15,000 entries from both amateur and professional songwriters from all over the world. As a Finalist, I am up for the People's Voice Award, for which the public gets to vote.

My song "Sixteen" received an Honorable Mention in the 2007 International Narrative Song Competition, which commented that the quality of my storytelling is to be commended along with many of the world's best.

Three of my songs received Honourable Mentions in Round 5 of The Singer/Songwriter Awards at We Are Listening. "Waiting" (co-written with Graham Verdon), "Cheating You" and "What You're Doing To Me" were all recognized. You can listen to demos of these songs on my myspace page.

My song Don't Mind Me was a Finalist in the Country/Folk category of the 2007 UK Songwriting Contest. I had several other songs also place as semi-finalists.

My song "Law on Loneliness" was a Runner Up in the Country category of May's round of the Song of the Year contest. The Runner Ups are some of the highest ranked songs by the judges.

I'm a finalist in the KICX106 Starquest competition. On June 16th, I will be performing 2 of my songs, competing against 7 other finalists for the grand prize of a set at next year's Uptown Country Waterloo festival. My song "Don't Mind Me" placed in the Honorable Mention category of the 14th Billboard World Songwriting Contest. It placed among the Top 1500 entries in both the Country and Americana/Folk categories.

My song "Sixteen" is a Finalist in the Lyrics only category of the 2006 International Songwriting Competition. With 15,000 entries, it's an honour to have my song place in the top 14 of its category and still be in the running for the grand prize. I am a semi-finalist in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition. My song "Don't Mind Me" was selected in the Country category. And my song "Sixteen" was selected in the Lyrics only category. There were over 15,000 entries from 88 countries worldwide and the competition is open to both professional and amateur songwriters and musicians.

Five of my songs have advanced to the next round of judging for the 2006 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). "Other Side of Heartache", "Don't Mind Me" and "Rose in the Mud" are being considered in both the Country and Americana categories. "Don't Mind Me" has been added to The Country EDGE!, Canada's top online country radio station. You can request it by going to The Country EDGE! website, search for my name and click on Request next to my song "Don't Mind Me". You can request my song once every 4 hours. You have to be listening when requesting my song or your request won't count. By requesting my song, you can help it chart on The Country EDGE! radio charts, along side many of today's top country artists!

My song "Don't Mind Me" was named a Finalist in the Country category for the month of December 2005 by the Song of the Year songwriting contest. The Song of the Year judges are some of the biggest names in music including many Grammy Award winners.
